Laljee Godhoo & Co. is a Partnership firm, established in the year 1894 and engaged in blending and processing of LG Brand Bandhani Hing (Compounded Asafoetida) which is mainly used in cooking.
Our Product Range
The finished product of the firm is mainly of two varieties namely lumps and powder. The product is sold in 50gm., 100gm., 200gm. and 500gm. packing.
Our Marketing Network
We have sales outlets at Mumbai, Chennai and Kumbakonam. Our main market is four southern states of India, namely Tamilnadu, Kerala, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh. We have rich network of over 1000 stockists and depot agents all across the country. We export to various countries in Middle East and South East Asia. Our product is also exported to USA, Canada and Australia.
We have been a highly responsible corporate citizen in the country as we have maintained a congenial working environment in our production house. As a result, we have a very high level of commitment from our workers and employees to the company. A few of the leading stockists of the company have been second and third generation stockists of LG, having cemented a close business relation with the company over the years. We have instituted, over fifteen years ago, an award to be given every year to the most outstanding young scientist of the Central Food Research Technological Institute, Mysore, the institute that developed the processing know-how for making the powder form of compounded Indian Asafoetida.
